The Method
Chakra Breathing™ — Breathplay — is an embodied, trauma-aware breathwork methodology that weaves together nervous system science and chakra energetics to create safe, sustainable transformation.
At its core, this practice bridges the conscious mind and the unconscious body — where emotional patterning, protective responses, and inherited survival strategies are stored.
Breathplay is my unique approach to breathwork—where transformation meets curiosity, intuition, and embodiment. It’s not about doing it “right”… it’s about exploring what’s possible through playing with your breath.
Through intentional breath, attuned awareness, and guided energetic focus, participants learn to regulate their nervous systems while accessing deeper layers of memory, sensation, and meaning. As the body feels safe, what has been held beneath awareness can begin to surface and release — not through force, but through supported integration.
The chakra framework provides a map for this inner terrain — translating physiological shifts into emotional and energetic insight. As regulation stabilizes the body, participants may naturally access expanded states of consciousness, heightened intuition, and the gradual unwinding of generational or ancestral imprints carried within the nervous system.
This work transforms the whole human system — mind, body, emotions, and energy. When the nervous system is supported and stored tension softens, the body can activate its intrinsic self-healing intelligence.
The body already knows how to heal.

Participants in the certification pathway undergo six months of structured embodiment, study, practicum, and mentorship before graduating as Certified Chakra Breathing™ Facilitators.

What Are Chakras?
Chakras are subtle energy centers within the body that have been recognized for thousands of years across ancient wisdom traditions — from the yogic sciences of India to aspects of Chinese medicine and other holistic systems.
While modern anatomy maps the physical body, the chakra system maps the energetic body — offering a framework for understanding ourselves as whole beings: physical, emotional, mental, and energetic.
Each chakra corresponds to specific themes in our lives, including safety, creativity, personal power, love, expression, intuition, and connection. When these centers are balanced and activated through conscious practices like breathwork, movement, sound, and awareness, we support the body’s natural capacity for self-regulation and intrinsic self-healing.
Rather than bypassing the physical body, the chakra system invites us into deeper embodiment — helping us identify where energy may feel stagnant, disconnected, or overactive, and guiding us back toward alignment.
In Chakra Breathing™, we work with the chakras not as abstract concepts, but as lived, felt experiences — accessible through the breath and integrated through the nervous system.
About the Founder
Chakra Breathing™ was founded by Alana Lee — trained in Transformational Breathwork and SOMA Breathwork, she is a transformational coach, yoga teacher, Somatic Practitioner, grief guide, and mother. With over 25 years of experience as a master breathwork facilitator Alana has been guiding individuals and groups around the world.
Her work blends ancient yogic pranayama, deep somatic expertise, chakra wisdom, and nervous system science with an intuitive, heart-centered approach. Alana has helped hundreds of people release old patterning and stored trauma, expand consciousness, and reclaim their innate resilience and power.
Her work is grounded in both extensive training and lived experience — including navigating profound personal grief after the loss of her daughter, Stellarae. During this time, Alana turned deeply inward to the practices that had supported her for decades, using breathwork as a pathway to remain connected to her body and gradually return to life.
As a grief guide, nervous system–centered facilitator, and embodiment teacher, she brings a unique combination of lived experience, spiritual insight, and grounded facilitation. Her approach is trauma-aware, supportive, and highly personalized — meeting each participant where they are while guiding them into profound transformation.
Through Chakra Breathing™, Alana shares a lineage-based methodology that is accessible, rigorous, and deeply transformative, creating not just breathwork practitioners, but leaders capable of holding safe, empowered, and conscious containers for others.
